    Default Laserworld and Ferry Corsten!!!

New on the Laserworld Facebook page, apparently Ferry Corsten did a gig with Laserworld lasers in spain:

    Video link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfbAD...layer_embedded

Was actually quite funny as the 1st time I saw it, it had a laser eye surgery advert at the bottom!!!

Some points on the Purelight though (please feel free to disagree if you think different):

    1. At the start - 10 seconds onwards, anyone else think this looks artificially saturated?

    2. Greens look OK but the blue at 27 seconds looks very weak to me for what looks like 473nm

    3. At around 25-30 seconds, anyone else noticiying what appears to be poor beam alignment?

In fairness to Laserworld much of the rest of the video looks ok. However, if I was making the kind of investment needed to own a Purelight, I wouldn't expect to see the above in a demo.

In fact what am I saying, if I was spending Kvant money then it would be on a Kvant!

    Right!!

Plus I can't figure out why Coherent doesn't sue them for using the Purelight name.

Nice show for only 2 lasers.

Have you noticed there are no White beams in the shows.

Some shots are really artificial saturated I believe.

I like it too, but then again I'm a sucker for Ferry Corsten. The dude puts on a good show. Even here in the US at Dallas TX where the clubs have no lasers!

Call me Mr Unobservant if you like, but where did it mention PURElight?, I see a PROlight mentioned at the beginning and at the end

Anyway, I thought it looked pretty good really... Podium dancers weren't half bad either

It might not be mentioned in the link that this thread is about specifically, but Laserworld does carry a "purelight" line.

It is indeed a Laserworld Purelight PL series RGB laser projector(i own a PL 8400 RGB)
The beam show is certainly very impressive, and just goes to show what can be achieved with hot beam/mirror ball targeting.
I have read many of the comments posted regarding Laserworld products and a common thread is alleged problems with the lower end of their product ranges and also actual/rated power concerns although this issue is far from unique to them.
I really do feel that 'rating' issues need to be urgently addressed by ALL manufacturers, distributors and sellers of laser equipment.
There needs to be a look into legislation on this issue.(look what happened to the banks left to their own devices)
I think it can also be easy to adopt the attitude 'everyone else does it'-someone needs to grasp the nettle on this issue and lead by example.
To wind up my first post on here, i am very happy with my Purelight 8.4 rgb-the only downside is it's size-it's a heafty beast!
It has CT6210 scansets, Jenoptik 532nm DPSS laser source and SwissLas diode modules 445nm blue and 640nm/658nm combined red(3watt, 2watt, 2watt)
Best wishes to all, Simon Protech Productions.
