UKLEM Surfleet 16th of May.... What a coincidence !!!!

Hello fellow lasernerds,

UKLEM Surfleet will be held on 14 till 16th of May 2010.
Smogthemog told us the date had to be changed from where it was planned first (June 6th or so) because the lady at the location thought it was free while it wasn't....

The real reason why it was moved was ofcourse that we wanted to celebrate the 50th birthday of our beloved phenomenom : THE LASER ! ;-)
No, that's not true actually but what a coincidence ! On the 16th of MAY 1960, exactly 50 years ago, Theodore Maiman was the first to present a ruby laser to the public. Check wikipedia:

Wow, we are going to have a LEM on the 50th Birthday of the LASER ;-) How cool is that huh ?
