Default Whom here does stained glass?

I went to a closeout sale at a glass artist's place. I took a small yag. I now have some very nice older lumia glass. I bought 5 plates. I need it made into disks. I need 2 three inch disks from each plate, the rest is yours if you make the disks.

I used to do lab glass, and could get started on this, but I really don't have a decent workshop at the apartment, so this would be a mess.

fyi, you can not do donuts with a cutter...you can do circles but to get the center you need a diamond drill.

did you check with your local glass shop to see if they would bang some circles out for you, then you go buy the diamond bit and drill them yourself? I use to do that, was very successful (after making a few shards) and soon developed the water soaked sponge, flowing water, water pic, mechanical drill press apparatus device

    Hey Steve,

I've been doing Stained Glass over 20 years. If you want to learn the techniques I use to make my own Lumia wheels you can download the instructions for free from my website. Failing that, you can ship me the glass and I can do it for you for a minimal charge TBD.

I've got the drills, and have talked to a shop with a 1200 watt pulsed co2. I'm waiting to hear back from the laser job shop, which is claiming 400 watts average at 1000 hz with a very high pressure assist gas works well.

Having the "ladies who lunch" do it at the other stained glass place was proving to be expensive, more expensive then buying the cutter. Besides, a laserist is going to be better on the quality control.

durn it, 8 months ago I would have done this at the old job and had the specialized belt sander and diamond cutting wheels in the glass shop.
