10-15 more inches on the way. We will lose power probably around midnight again.

Glad I picked up that kerosene heater a few months ago.. when I moved onto the mountain. It took 2 days for me to get someone up here to plow the road to my driveway.

Hope everyone else in the area is safe and stays safe..

    Good luck No Esc!

here in the Netherlands it snowed a tiny tiny bit today and all the traffic has been jammed for hours.
Incredible how 1 cm of snow can deregulate a whole country...

And then you are talking of inches, what, foots of snow....

Hold on, hold on tight and keep in touch (and stay warm..)
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

yeah it's always the same story here in the UK when we have the slightest bit of snow... people panic buying all the bread and milk in the shops (because we CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT IT!! ), and you ask the majority of drivers of these so-called 4x4's fitted with road tyres how to actually select 4WD, let alone how to drive properly in the stuff??? its either the usual 80mph and crashing, or 5mph.

Its laughable, really makes me rage!!

Cool So how was your weekend?

We had snow in Charleston this past weekend. You heard that right. Snow. In. Charleston.

We had no power for nearly 21 hours. Fortunately I have a generator and a wood-burning stove insert for the fireplace, so we were OK.

To put this event into perspective, this is only the third time it's snowed in Charleston since I moved here in 1988. And by far this was the most snow we've ever had. And yeah, by the time these pictures were taken (the morning after the evening snow storm), it was already starting to melt. By the end of the day it was all gone.

I imagine it was a lot worse for people living further north from here. And this is exactly why I have no desire to move back home to Wisconsin. I've shoveled enough of the white shit in my life!
