FieldmaxII TOP Technical Help

I picked up this FieldMaxII TOP pretty cheap and I don't know a lot about it. I didn't get a sensor for it yet, so that might be my problem. Anyway, when I turn it on, all I get is what you see in the picture. If I push the power button, the back light works and it turns off fine. Do I need a sensor hooked up to it before I can use any of the other buttons or did I take a gamble on an inexpensive FMII and lost on it? Thanks!

That meter is correct, it will show a error message if there was a issue. It is saying there is no detector. Plug in a PM (not LM) series detector and it will work just fine.
