Default DrLava rocks tha house !

    Hi All,

Just wanted to share with you i bought ILD SoS 1.3 yesterday.
For a while i am trying to make animations using OLA, Inkscape and a variety of other programs.
I thought ILD SoS would be a good addition to my toolkit for doing that. And so it did !

So yesterday around midnight i thought, let's buy it.
Within 1 hour (!!!) i had a reaction of Andrew, with a download link.
I sent him my activationcode and within 45 (!!!) MINUTES i had a reaction containing the key and could activate the software. Minutes later i had imported 100 frames in DXF and exported them to a ILD file which could be used in Quickshow.

Also the datareduce feature is OUT OF THIS WORLD... incredible.
I had a model of a RS4 (i am just a nutter for Audi's, especially the faster ones...)
This model i imported in DXF into ILD SoS. Contained 10,995 points, using 30K scanners a framerate of 2.85 FPS. I then choose the Datareduce setting on HIGH..... end result.... 495 points ! A frame rate of 60.48FPS ! And the model still looked as nice, no visible degradation... Boy... this is cool !

Just 2 examples i did with this software. At 25 dollars (18 euros) absolute value for money !

Thanks DrLava for this excellent piece of software !
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

ILD SOS is THE SHIT!!!!!!!! and should be a part of any laser guy's (or girl's) software collection. The frames that I've made with it are just fantastic. Combined with Inkscape (which can output vector .dxf files) it's the ultimate creative tool. Anything you can draw or trace, you can make into .ild files and tune them so they look amazing.

You people should try 3ds MAX and Illustrate! Both avalable 30 day trial.
I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!

Does one of them output .ild files directly? If not you would still need something like ILD SOS to convert them..

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you're getting good use from it, that's exactly what I hope for while working on it - that people will be inspired to create. Hobbybob, don't forget that if you don't turn on optimization, the output file will be 'vector oriented' instead of direct play point oriented, and the final frame rate, depending on your software, will be different when the file is played.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have questions.

Elektrofreak, what Dr Laser was getting at is, because you have ILD SOS, you can easily give that pair a try for rendering 3D animations to DXF for ILD SOS conversion.

Ahh.. IC. I misunderstood.. I'll have to try it with one of them. I have yet to make full 3D animations.. that would be beyond sick. Thanks for the tip Dr Laser..
