You put tremendous effort in putting them together.
And there will be extra effort for extracting the halfnotes and putting them on the aluminium plates.

I think you might attract more potential buyers when you leave them intact.
If people want to spend this much money, they're probably professionals. They will be looking for return on investment. The economic value of a working projector is just far greater.

Given your 'luck' in abroad trades I suppose you'd prefer to sell them locally. In that case, the number of potential buyers of a pair of plug and play movinghead projectors in your vicinity is much greater than 2.5 oem laser modules.

If you sell the projectors locally you could make 1 year of warranty and service part of the deal.

    Hello Bart

I dont think selling the complete heads will be a better option, for several reasons.. If i sell the heads complete, i will have to raise the price enough, that i can buy another two moving heads, and two sets of galvos.. that is something like €6-8000 on top of the ~4000 for the lasers... - i dont think anyone wants to pay that much..

The only reason why i am thinking about taking them apart is because i would like to put a much more powerfull laser into the heads..

About my "luck" with abroad trades, the only problem i've had with shipping damages was with the halfnote from smogthemog... i would always pack something as delicate as a laser extremely well and use good shipping co.'s.. i think both smogthemog, lexat8 and others can vouch for the high quality of my packing and shipping..

Thirdly i would actually prefer to sell these lasers abroad (or to a whole different biz, like some science lab), because then i will not as likely be competing against the new owner of these lasers on future shows..

    doesnt that make sense ?

    Regards, Simon

okay, maybe selling them as complete units isnt such a bad idea after all, as i also have a few other items that i could include in a "package" sort of deal..

what do you guys think i could get for a package consisting of the following:
2 laser moving heads with 2+W halfnotes CT6800s and all the best components over all..
1 Laser systems Magnum, desk style laser controller (older but very effective dual output desk for all live shows. Many effects running texts etc. fully programmable, fully refurbished, resoldered and built into flightcase with detachable "slave" boxes for each projector, that converts the 3 pin communication signal from the desk to standard ilda, which makes it easy to use from FOH to stage, since you only need to run one XLR cable (or plug into the sound multicore) to run two projectors.
1 Laser design studio 2008 Pro software with pc and Riya output card, and about 100 music synced shows..
all cables, clamps and accessories needed.

what would a reasonable price be for a setup like this ?

    Thanks !

    Regards, Simon
