    Default RC heli's

Recently another bug has bitten me after it was gone for a long time: RC heli's.
So recently I bought an TREX 250 and I'm slowly assembling it. It seems to be yet another money pit and the thing isn't flying yet!!!
I know that there are more laser-enthusiasts that like to play whith these kinds of toys, so I was wondering just how strong that connection is

So who else flies with these things?

Wish you would have asked, I would have gladly sold you a upgraded blade CX and some spares....

I'm done with them, back to planes...

You going to mount a steerable laser pointer on that helicopter? I'd think that might look very cool, and be very dangerous, but look VERY cool!

I'm in a bit of a "lull" with my R/C gear at the moment, but I've got a couple -
Blade 400, Blade CP's, HeliMax MX-Pro - non of which are flyable at the moment!!

But my RealFlight simulator works just fine....

    LOL!

I'm not big into RC heli's but I do occasionally work at my friends shop making aftermarket parts for them.

I spent a summer fixing my rc heli..average cost was about $30.00 every time the motor ran..it had no gryo. it was a beginner kit in 1986 or so.

    sort of went like this

    0-start heli
    10-crash heli
    20-go to hobby shop
    30-spend 2 to 4 hours repairing heli
    40-go to 10

I went back to rc sailplanes which I really enjoy flying (even tho it has been at least 10 years since any stick time)

hopefully you wont crash into your friends car like I did...then you have this whole property damage thing to think about LOL

Not heli's but did used to fly fixed wing, last one was a Chris Foss Wot4 which was superb fun.
I've since moved to the south coast where I'm right on the South Downs, and there are lots of really good slopes right on my doorstep, so have been thinking about a slope soarer for a while, just haven't got round to it yet (or the decorating come to think of it!)
