    Default green laser modulation questions

    hi all
whats needed to make a green laser modulate in analog ok ??
the laser in question is a small cheap 80mw green off ebay
i am driving it with a die4drive and the laser runs very cool and shows no sign of warming up
    even after an hour cw,
at the moment i get odd tails and lines from the green
and wonder if there's a way for me to improve it
what temp should the crystal inside run at to work better in analog ??
here's a pic of my setup

What do you mean by "odd tails and lines"?
Do you have a picture of that ?

    Default modulation

hi i dont have a pic at the moment
the odd lines appear as if the laser is not switching off fully when blanking
even though the driver is set correctly and if i adjust it while its running it do go
but lose a lot of output power, also there is a slight delay on it fully lasing when switched on,
on testing laser with a pot on the drive, and turning it up slowly
to start with it comes on dim then theres a point when it suddenly jumps
to a higher power then there are a couple of smaller jumps as its reaching
max power at full power its fine and is very stable with no power drift
over the hour i left it on my meter

    Default Blanking offset

It could be a problem with the blanking offest. What software/hardware are you using?

    Default blanking

dont thinks its the offset red and blues ok,
i am using an easylase dac and mamba black
i dont think theres indervidual control for each colours offset
    just a global one

Hmmmmm. You got me. I know that there are some greenies that can't be modulated, but I doubt that is the issue.
