Ive been looking for a decent source for 350mW 5.6mm laser diodes for about 2 weeks now, and the only way I have seen to get them for under $40 is to buy in bulk lots of 1000 units.

Still searching, I know there has to be a decently priced source for these things somewhere.

Yeah..I'm in the same boat as you guy's ..still looking for a cheaper source than Grammy or Roithner...I'm running very low on my last batch of 350's.
5.6mm devices are so tuff to find..
I did buy a 9mm 1.2watt unit but havnt tried it out yet..I'm afraid its emitter width
is too big without changing the pump optics.

in the TO-3 Package for experimentation...
These do not have a TEC or a PD in them , Just the diode..
Just might be the thing you might be looking for...
