    Default New Old Power Meter

Just found a '76 Spectra-Physics Model 404 laser power meter. It was hiding in the dusty corner of a display case at Halted Specialties for years, in its dark brown wooden box. The foam was all disintegrated and the batteries all corroded, but it cleaned up real good! I bet more than a few here remember these!

    Hi Bob

Maybe it's just me, but the picture link doesn't appear to be working.

    Cheers

I posted it on LPF too and someone there said the same thing, but they got it to come up. Seems it works on the original page but not when moved to another tab. That's what he said. It works for me, but it's the first time I posted a picture from my new Apple computer, first Apple for me. I'll try again here:

Nice meter!, it's great that you're managing to get hold of all this 'classic' laser gear and preserve it for posterity. I guess there's just too much of our 'old' technology that get's trashed in a skip somewhere to be lost forever.

    Cheers

nice score bob, unfortunately the meter is dark grey and the head is light grey, but you have both attenuators so that is a good thing. I have a spare 50mw attenuator if you need it.

Any port in a storm. I'll be looking for that dark gray detector head! Or maybe I can paint and age the one I have.
