    Default Top mirror first..

Just doing some designing for my first projector and my beams are going to have to hit the top mirror of my galvos (DT 25's) first.

From what I have read, this will be ok but may need to be reversed in the software.

    Am I right here?

If your beam comes into your scanblock from the left as you look at it, the beam will hit the top mirror and exit the projector from the bottom mirror. My RGBB is setup like this.

If the beam comes in from the right of the scanblock as you look at it, the beam will hit the bottom mirror and exit the projector from the top mirror, this is how my greens are set up.

You can invert the image in software, or you can wire in some invert switches, essential for dual projectors... You can then mirror them, as in, when one moves to the right, the other moves to the left so they cross...

Yeah the case apperture is on the right so the beams will enter the block from the left...unless I cut another apperture on the left.

Is it a big deal reversing it, or simpler to cut another apperture?

    Thanks

Just do it, you'll be fine.. no need to cut another hole.

Not a big deal at all...

All you need to do is make sure your bottom mirror is central in the aperture and shim your lasers or scanblock so that everything lines up nicely.

Reversing images in software is just a click of a button or slider. In Pangolin you do it in the projection zones. All software should provide this functionality, as you might project graphics onto a wall at one gig and through a scrim at another gig...

Just be aware that some DT25s have a longer Y mirror, so you may need to swap the actual galvos.
