If Adam, a problem that occurs with the public attention, at least in my country, companies are not representatives of "official." They buy and resell them have their "friends" in the commission of office, not pay taxes. And fill their pockets. If you got a problem, you have to fix those as you can. This is what I had to do. It's a shame, because sometimes even dirty the name of a company, and the company had no idea that resell its products. That's why when something like this, we are surprised because we are not accustomed to having someone give us an answer.

Well folks, I do not want to take away their time. But I expect an answer in this way. The day 2/7/2010 I received an email from Medialas, asking me to fill out the form again, I did, the day 28/07/2010 send an email to see if they could see my problem. Anyway, I hope this does not bother anyone, but is the only medium where I can express myself, maybe take more time than I expect and that is why no answer yet. Anyway ....... thanks

Guy's hi, been watching the thread, unusal for Medilas to be that slow, I have a couple of laser from them and there support isn't bad, anyhow on to my Q, hope you don't mind, I do not want to hijack the thread! I have an old version of laserpainter PCI that I love, unfortunatly the pci card went wrong so it went back to Germany and upon return it will not work with my software, ok I know it only works on Win'98 so for that reason it has been collecting dust in the back of my bitsa box in workshop, but with the PCI came loads of cool animations graphics and 5 good shows, unfortunatly all in medilas's own file system. I now run a Laser Electronics ZION with 600mw green dpss laser but would love to use the old files/shows if not the software, so can anyone convert the files from the laserpainter PCI to standard ILDA format for me? I think the full Mamba Black will. but when trying the Demo version I find it very difficult to use so don't want to buy one for £500 when my ZION is just as good. And I'm a skinflint having spent well over 12 grand on lasers and software in the last 10 years!!!!!!! Thanks in antissipation scuddmann!

I had similar issue with updating mamba 1.6 to mamba 1.9. Filled that update form twice, but no links were sent to my e-mail. Then I wrote to support, providing my software (I've got two copies) serial numbers, askin if those are authentic - got an answer in two days, with links to 1.9 update distributables. Soooooo, maybe it's just a technical issue of update requests from that form on their site just not gettin to medialas.
More than that, when I had an error when importing my 1.6 show to 1.9 - a window popped up askin if I would like to send a bug report. I did send it. After a day or two I got a message with links to most recent mamba updates to download. For both my software copies. Unfortunately, error wasn't fixed with those updates . But that's an another story.
Anyway, medialas support is alive, so write to them without fillin any update forms.

Well folks, I received Answers from Medialas. I was informed that I've been sold a pirated copy. I buy from a company dedicated to commercialize laser and programs here in Argentina. I bought it in good faith, is that the mamba and the dongle are pirate copies. Now I'm doubting the DAC will also copy??. Unfortunately, the company does not give me any answers, I am now a victim of the undesirables that are in my country.
I want to thank everyone and especially to Dirk Baur from Medialas, for having contacted me. I will continue participating in the forum (despite my bad English lol)

I feel it my duty to clarify the issue.
