    Default Just thought I'd say Hi...

    As the title suggests, I just thought I'd say Hi. "Hi!", [waves]

    I didn't see an, 'Introduce Yourself', section on my way in so please redirect me if I missed it. The name's Morgan and I've been residing over at Laserpointerforums for the last year or so and had a lot of fun, met a few people and learned a whole heap of interesting stuff. I initially joined this forum too when I knew absolutely nothing so I had very little to contribute back then and therefore I remained inactive. I'm more confident now that I've built a few things, killed a few diodes in the name of science, and contributed to some novice learning!

    I see a few friendly faces here too, (profiles at least!), like Lasersbee; Elektrofreak; Jaycey, (If you're the same Jaycey as I know); Diachi and have no doubt there are others too, so I guess I'll be bumping into you guys at some point. Very glad to be here. Here's to more learning!

    Happy days,

    M

    Hello Morgan;

    Welcome to PhotonLexicon. I notice you're located in the UK... Have you checked out the UKLEM threads in the meet and green sub-forum yet? I promise you'll have a great time at one of those events.

    Nice to see you here...

    For your own safety..... don't talk about Laser POINTERS until you get
    settled in a bit more... You'll soon see why....

    Enjoy your stay...

    Hey all,

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Special hello to Jerry. Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't going to mention the unmentionable for a while. I get the distinct impression they are considered somewhat as toys over here. That's all good of course, I am happy to embrace different applications. Just another branch of the same tree to explore!

    @ Buffo - I did see a UK meet arranged for sometime last year but didn't get the chance to go. It's definitely a plan to meet and talk face-to-face with other enthusiasts. At my most paranoid I'm not even sure you guys really exist!

    300Evil - Dr. Strangelove! One of my fav films. "The whole idea of having a Doomsday Weapon is that you let people know about it!!!" Peter Sellers at his best...

    I'm sure I'm going to feel at home in no time.

    P.S. I've written this reply three or four times now because of inexplicable deletion by the site when I've clicked on emoticons, etc. Is this a known problem or just a temporary glitch?
