    Default The Ultimate Uber interlock

Yesterday I was at the prolight and sound and saw a remote interloch that blown my mind.

    I was really flabbergasted.

Its a remote interlock with keyswitch with a colour touchscreen to readout the temparatures and other status of you lasers and contol the color balance in the projectors all over ethernet.

I really find this the ultimate laser gatget I could find at the PLS

I saw it too... Really nice!!

I wonder how works the data transmission between the laser projector and the remote...

I think he might mean something more like, we generally use computers to control our projectors so having a box with color control isnt very helpful... this is probably more for DMX/sound activated stuff

    neat box tho

Color control is very usefull, allot of quality manufacturers have color control on there projectors. most do it simple with potentiometers.

Not everyone can afford a QM.net for each projector individual, if you Daisey chain projectors, it can be very handy. or if you use a laser matrix with multiple projectors on one DAC.

if you daisy chain projectors chances are you know what you need to compensate for, so pots seem a lot more practical... sometimes making something complicated because you can is not the best course of action

i would be less worried about pots going crazy than some touchscreen color balance thing...

anyway chances are if your daisychaining a bunch of projectors your doing beam shows, and color balance doesn't matter as much since you probably want maximum brightness

With pots you need to have a big ladder (don't know the english word for a vehicle with lift) and another person in the audience to check the white balance.

With this controller you can sit behind your desk and calibrate each laser on you touchscreen like you would do if you had a QM.net

I also do not agree with white balance, allot of shows and livepro images are made in white, its simply ugly if your white is green because of a overpowered green.

I rather have a crisp white with a little bit less green, than all green white.

You don't balance you white for beamshows?

When you see the price of the controller that interfaces to, you'll be in shock. That is for Lasergraph DSP.
