I agree, if he was a lawyer his first contact would have outlined the actions he planned on taking along with a few request for you to take like cease further development and remove the pictures. Your response to the requests would chart his next move.

If he was an independent Intellectual Property loss researcher he would not have contacted you until he was paid for his services and your first contact would have been by a lawyer and probably by registered mail.

Johan, I have already showed you the pictures when I was at your home remember.

I also have pictures of the internals of a 640nm laserwave and an older RGB lasersystems setup.

I have received the arctos setup (which is really a piece of art) from a friend who asked me not to share it. sorry guys.

Yeah so Kvant, Swisslas and RGB have been knife edging for years.

Unless you do it exactly the same as specified in the patent, from my understanding, then its not a problem.

ok, you can post a review of a Laser Pointer...
If arctos don't show their products on the website I think they have reason to.

I think we will have no problem if we haven't plan to resell our red setup and don't show them if they are "arctos like"

Sorry to tell that, but it's a hobby for most of all, and I think most of all doesn't whant any problem with a compagny who as money to protect his patent

    nice 1.April fool :-P

When we talk about patent and so on..
We are allowed to use patented setups, and develop they further !
But we cannot sell it as it was our own design!!

1 year ago I start building myself a Laminar Jumping Water jet (like the one at Bellagio) .
Mark Fuller was the first designer of these Laminar Jets back in 1970!
And he also have patent on this design, he work in WET company.
WET did produce and install everything at Bellagio.
There also was a 1hour show at Discovery Channel about Mark Fuller and his Jumping Jet.

I found this fountain very beautiful, and did start up a forum to start create this at my own.
The forum is growing and we have manage to build pretty many awesome jumping jets the last year.

But the cool thing is that one day, Mark Fuller did join the forum personally !!! :-)
He was not mad that we used his design, but impressed what we have done.
And he would love to see us find up new and better designs !

And he told us to remember: "It does not take a genius to build something amazing so long as he has enough money to throw at the project. Any average idiot can build anything with unlimited funds. The real genius is in building something amazing from what you have laying around"

After that said, I DONT think Arctos mind that we use theyr design as hobby use
If they do, well I damn not will buy anything from them.

Never mind Dobbs, you can cut him plenty of slack, this is the guy you need to worry about:
