Question DMX control of pre-programmed patterns?

What's a good DMX interface for lagacy equipment control?
    FYI
I'm not really interested in using the DMX controller to create my own patterns.

It's extremely unlikely you'll be able to create your own patterns using DMX. This is the domain of dedicated software for frame creation, and DMX just isn't suited to drawing complex patterns on the fly.

Most DMX implementation on lasers is to control the selection of built in patterns, and manipulating them in different ways (usually some combination of position, scale, rotation, axis flipping, scan speed, drawing speed depending on how good/complex the DMX board is)

The desk you've linked to will allow you to do basic select of patterns, but having owned previous incarnations of desks like that, I'm not a fan - they're cheap for a reason! Having said that, if you can establish that it'll do what you need then by all means get one, esp if its cheap.
