Whoa...
This is gonna get confusing. We already have a Dream Beamz and now a Dreambeamz (without the space). Take a look at the members list
A big welcome to PL, but you may wish to consider a change of username (just PM Admin and ask nicely) as I can see confusion ahead. Guess we should have spotted this when you joined in July 2009, but it would have probably gone un-noticed as you haven't posted until now. That's what I call restraint
Cheers
Jem

What's a "boxlaser"?
Box Laser RT16 Controller System IntroducedThe Box Laser RT16 is a system for controlling industry standard ILDA laser projectors, with a focus on use in a live environment, at a cost of less than half of the nearest competitor in its class.
The Box RT16 laser show system consists of the Box Producer stand-alone 16 bit laser controller unit and the Box Performer show design/live performance software.Box Producer - An external interface that connects to an ILDA spec laser projector. It controls high-speed X/Y scanners at 16 bit resolution and 8 TTL outputs.
Box Producer R/T Features:
Parallel Port Interface 16bit High Resolution X/Y Scanner output 8 TTL outputs Small External Footprint
Box Performer - A Windows software package that can produce and edit live shows in real time. Box Performer uses a sequencer style control system that mirrors the design of popular drum machines, allowing the user a high level of control over a performance. Box Performer also allows the user to play single animations directly from the console, including adding built in effects like strobe, rotation and zoom.
In addition, Box Performer includes assignable projection areas, a real time abstracts engine with dual oscillators and algorithms, an effects editor, a comprehensive beam editor, a TTL sequencer, and real time animation effects.

This is what I gathered from the archives. It was an interesting idea that nobody really invested into.
Now it seems like everyone is trying to create a cheaper DAC for alternatives to Full Auto and Pangolin.
I hope this helps. If someone still has one stored in a box some where in the garage, I would like to purchase it.

Hi Jem;
It's not too bad... I happen to know both of them personally.
Dream Beamz (with a space) = George. Dreambeamz (no space) = Johnathan. Both of them work together for the company they formed, "Dream Beamz", which does laser shows every now and then. So long as they always sign their posts, we'll be able to easily tell them apart!
George posts a lot more frequently than Johnathan does, but both were in attendance at SELEM back in 2007.Since then, Johnathan moved to DC, so only George has been able to make it to the later events.

Hi I realize this is a reply to an old post but I'm Travis part of the old team that did the project ten years ago. It had decent sales overseas actually. Anyways I still have a few PCBs we had manufactured and depending on lead time for the chips I can slap together one at cost, or just a PCB w Software and you can DIY. Anyways PM me if you are still interested or have Q's. I think the software still is the best for live shows with it's layered realtime fx, midi caps and TTL outs for a beamtable/fog whatever, it just doesn't support color. The last software patch was in 04. Mod's this isn't meant to be an ad, just trying to help the poster interested in sourcing this old setup.
