quick show timeline help

hi guys,
just thought i would have a look at the above.
when i import a wav or mp3 i seem to get a long black box, with no visible waveform.
it does however play the track.
also, does the timeline expand automatically to the length of the track imported ?
i am using build 165.

thought i would post here before contacting pangolin and looking like a complete idiot

anyone have any ideas?

My version does the same thing. I'm not sure what build I am running as it is on another computer. I asked the same question a while back and the response I received was that the timeline was one of the weakest points of the current program and that Pangolin will address this issue on the next release.

If you figure out to import a song in the meantime, please share.

ah, ah,
nice one gene.......
the reason i couldn't see the waveform was because of the "scale" magnification of the timeline (adjusted with the +ve and -ve buttons just above the timline)

Oh wow, I just realized I'm using build 128. I'm way behind.
