    OK Marconi

I really would like one of these units, it will probably have to wait till next month. I have purchased 3 green and 10 red pointers this month and I am begining to worry about myself !

I have some really nice bench power supplies here so power should not be a problem.

I will follow your progress on the development of the 80mw diode model and hopefully get one of those (I tend to work on the "if 1 is good more must be better" principle).

Do you think one of the 80s will be avaiable next month ?

If you recive a badly worded message in the next few weeks ordering a K_Car red then I am most probably very drunk, just process the order fast and we should both be happy.

I am hooking up a new camera this weekend so I can get some good crystal shots, when you get that green red mix right that yellow/orange quartz looks really good. I will post more pics this weekend on the other thread.

    No problem Gold...
We might have one left over by then,....
Dont worry about the "addiction" happens to us all , sooner or later

    Hi Gold,

I just recieved another batch of 80mW diodes...
I know they will always do at least 80mW...
The module I made for myself runs at 95mW...and, It is very stable.
I torchered it.. and tried to blow it up with my squarewave generator and
blanking supply...it just wont die...I really like my driver design..

I want to make sure that they will last at this power level for laser light show use...It really is hard to say how much more current thay can take..
I have NOT exceeded the factory max current rating yet..and the results are very exciting...So far, so good...

The first three I built were for Hologram use...(no Mode hops)...they have to be exceptionally stable.

The next one I make will be around 100mW...This one will be for sale.
And the next one after that will be (2) conbined diodes feeding a splitter cube in phase, slightly cooled ..THAT, should get me around 180 maybe 200mW's after loses...and be a bit brighter...that ones already sold.

    Cheers

    Oh,
That 70mw , the diode was left over from another project..
    A proven Holography use diode.
It was pushed just a little to ensure no mode hopping and coherence length

    Peace...

Oh, I thought this was really Kewl,I Stole it from another poster:

I see people like to leave quotes from movies at the end of thier postings, so heres one for you from george a romeros 1986 zombie classic, 'day of the dead':
"im running this monkey farm now frankenstein, and i wanna know, what the f**k youre doin' with my time"

    pure poetry.

    Hi All

The_kcar and I have decided to add blanking to all RED modules...

It will be TTL controlled (add + 5.2 volts or more to to the blanking wire to turn off beam)

This was decided as this would also serve as a safety switch..!!!

If you have visited our Site .... We still need to do some more work on it.

We have just been so damn busy lately,...Thank you all..
