Capture Digitize card for VST

Wondering which cards have been best for use with VST in LD2000? Is there a current good card? Saw the Vstream listed on the site but are there any others? or will there current model work?

You need to have a capture card? I just used my Sony HandyCam as a USB webcam and was able to make some really good Raster images...

When I first ran it, it wouldn't run unless it detected a capture card. So I installed my (ancient) ATI TV-Wonder VE board, and it worked just fine.

Later, I had my web-cam hooked up, and noticed that it was available as a drop-down in the "select your capture card" box. So I tried it and it worked. Then I shut down the machine and yanked out the ATI capture card. Booted it back up and it still works just fine with the webcam! Weird...

I'm *positive* I used to get the "no capture card detected" error in the past. Maybe a recent Pangolin update opened up support for web-cams? Or maybe I just needed to update the web-cam drivers? I dunno, but for certain it works with my web-cam now...

The software recognized my Cannon miniDV right out of the box, i was mis understanding the info I guess on the web site and thought you needed a capture card not any input device. Pretty neat with the VST stuff, I am guessing you really need analog modulation to get the grey/color scales for raster composite looking correct.
