    Default upgrade help

Is there a mount for use in cheaper projectors to upgrade the optics without drilling and taping the case. My understanding is that the glass mounts are usually mounted at 45 degress to the beam, the problem is in this case the mounts are inline with the beam and have the glass mounted (glued) to what looks like a piece of pipe cut on angle inside going in the mount. Is there anyway of getting the pieces to upgrade the optics without drilling the case? I guess i'm looking for a supplier of parts, searching hasn't turned up much.
Ideas on where to look? Thanks

I've got to say drilling and tapping a couple of holes is a whole lot cheaper than custom machined one off components, but that said, I'm sure there's a machinist somewhere near you that will make whatever you want for a price - or maybe just to learn a little about lasers...

I was hoping to find that the piece I was looking for is common and I just didn't know it. I seem to remember some in pictures on the forum at some point.

If you are worried about having a case full of holes there is an answer... Get a strip of ally and drill holes in it so that it can be screwed into the existing holes in your case, then mount your new optics on top of it in the new positions.. At the end of the day, there is a bit of drilling and tapping to do, but only 6 holes max...

You can see what I am getting at in the pic. This table was built from scratch, but if I ever need to change the optical train, I can just replace the strip the optics are sitting on with a new one and not damage the main baseplate...
