    Default Extending galvo signal wires

I'm in the process of planning my layout, well actually a step further, have mounted the electronics to one side of an aluminum plate. One thing I didn't account for is the short length of the signal wires for the dt40 amps. I'm wondering if it's ok to extend these a short amount to reach the parallel connector ?

The scanners are DT40w's. There are 3 wires, +, - and ground, are these a shielded cable ?

If not, I do have room for them on the optical side of the plate. Any suggestions on best location for galvo amps ? Also, is there much to worry about when routing of wires ? Should they be kept isolated from power supplies and such ?

    Thanks

    Miles

Extending the wires with regular cable is fine, doesn't need to be shielded. Just don't have it run for long distances beside mains cabling and it'll be fine.

If your over 2 feet, total, I would suggest shielding the two feedback wires on each galvo.
