Not really after a specific effect... I'm just fucking around in c4d and then exporting the results here.
Speaking of which:
Seeded movement of a cube over the vertical axis.

I think I am losing it. Heres a can... with lights going around it. For, you know, when you need to promote a can, emphatically.
In this scenario it would also be helpful if the companies name was "CAN!"
A video tutorial how you make those effects and transform it to .ILD would be great
I wouldn't even know how to go about making a tutorial at this point. I just screw around until it looks right.
If you want me to try and make something, feel free to ask. I need to figure this shit out anyways.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for sending me a link to this in email. Since I leave for China tomorrow, and will be gone for two weeks, this is likely the last post you'll see from me for a while...
In any event, the animation looks cool, but I think 1000 points might be too low of a target. Sure, at 30K it means 1000 points is 30 frames per second, but in laser we seem to be able to easily get by with fewer FPS. Perhaps you should play round with 2000 being the limit.
Also, one thing about the 3D tools. You can possibly convey more informaiton, by using the camera to stay zoomed in on only part of the entire scene. Then pan around the scene. Human viewers will perceive the "whole scene" even though only a part of the scene is on the screen at any one point in time.
Best regards,
William Benner
2K points/frame? And they already look bad at 1K on my projector!
Anyway I like the newest ones as well, except the last one which just flickers too much.
Two more "odd" renders.
