Hello people!
ok its time for me to do some rebuilding. I have a really oversized projector, although i really like the big beamtable i rarly use more then half of it. So its time to minimize it.
the box is right now:
31inches wide. (80cm)
24inches deep. (60cm)
26inces hight. (66cm)
so its really big, the reason i made it this big is becouse i really like to use Auctuators to control my beam shows hooked up with a midiklaviatur its really acurate and fun to make beamshows to music. And the second reason is that i have builded a 17" LCD touchscreen on the back of the box to control the computer system wich i have also installed in the box, why?
well i hate long ILDA cables especially after a big party to clean the cable for 3hours of variuos gin&tonic, beer and some times the worst, cigarette marks. So i decided to build a smal computer inside the box wich run the Pangolin software. And to remotely control the software i can connect to the wireless network accesspoint i installed and by WiFi controll it. Although 9out of 10 times im placed only 4meters away behind a stage or something so normally i use the USB cable directly into the FB3 card.
Now i have also discovered that the 17" LCD monitor is not needed, couse the computer boots up as soon as i turn the main power on (keyswitch) and after 1minute i can connect via "Remote Desktop" on WiFi and through that also use midi. So the LCD monitor is basicly never used, Only thing i can think of is if there would be an system error and i cant boot up. But then i can just hook up a small 7" monitor to see the error code.
So im going to cut the box in half on all sides. and perhaps build in the beamtable inside the box, im not sure yet, i have 2 see what seems best.
So in 20minutes i will take the whole projectors down to the workshop and we will start the build. with my friend.
wish me good luck. and any suggestions is welcome,
I will update hpfully every hour with pics and some text.
have a nice day all.. i know we will.
