Default Sources for casings, collimators, drivers

I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of suppliers of casings, collimators, drivers etc. in connection with the 445 diode GBs going on. Will FlexMod work with this diode? Also, what about the stock lense, would it be any good for scanning?

Btw: Does anyone know if the dichros at lasershowparts will treat 445nm correctly? I can't find any info on nm thresholds on their site.

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Best Regards, skai

We have used the reflect blue dichro with very low losses

Robin Bowden (uk-laser here ) has a very nice driver the die4drivepro that was designed for driving the Nichia diodes a few years ago. It has a switching power supply on board ensuring the driver gets a super clean supply of power, and it has a huge amount of modulation input protection. Maybe a little overkill considering these diodes are cheap now, but it certainly wasnt when we first started messing with the Nichia's a few years ago.

I tested the old laser-wave reflect blue dichro and it had less losses than with my old 473

Mccarrot from Laserextreme has good collimators, good dichro,s swisslas dichro,s (the best on the market) Good quality case for building a projector and soon new modules of red in a few months.
Also he has good quality brass dichromounts etc.

Have a look at his site:

Good to know about the dichro compatibility. Do you know where I can order this driver? Also, do you know how much current it can handle?

I'd like to bring attention to these...

...particularly the HS1C-5.6MM (on the left) which I think would work quite well in one of these...

With that combo, you'd have very precise 3 axis control.

They a bit pricier than the ol' Aixiz modules and a block of aluminium. However, those with the benefit of a lathe could whip themselves up something like these heatsinks pretty easily I'd imagine.
