Its not that bad now, Wait till you have children and senior parents...

Enjoy just the house and the wife. They usually give you about a year in the home and then drop the news on you.

At least you can now have the home shop to work in.

You get used to it, and can now focus on carefully protecting the existing Pangolin so you can at least program at home while she sleeps. But do not forget to cuddle and buy her shoes, or you will be miserable :-)

    Congrats,

    Steve

    Congrats Andy

...a little over dramatic perhaps, dont you think?

New house= more space ...garage, spare rooms etc to expand your habit?

You could always sell your car? if the going gets tuff

Nice swann Andy, congratulations, just make sure she doesn't 'forget' to take her pill just yet.

Just over 2 years since buying our first house, daughter will be 1 on 3rd July, and in that time I've bought 3 >300mW Laserwave 532's, 2 >350mW Laserwave 640's and 1 >1000mW Laserwave 650 (and 2 445's on the way!)

It might just be the beginning for the lasers.... congrats!

...but it makes the point, eh? ...just don't let her pressure you into a 'liquidation' and you should-be fine...

... and Steve's right: buy her SHOES, and you'll be 'in like Flint'... "...Here you go, luv - a pair of Pradas for you... aaand, a pair of 445's for me...

    Congrats and cheers, m8..

Mate, thats great news ! but Don't stress.

I've been married for two years, and have over time amassed all manner of Laser kit, some the Mrs sanctioned and some she has no idea about!

I have a lovely garage to put my bench drill and to litter the floor with alu filings, it's all good!

Allthough, don't make the mistake of letting her manage the bank account (Like me) - it becomes tricky to explain who this "stanwax" merchant is that keeps popping up on the statement.. £300 worth of Diesel wears a little thin after the fourth attempt!

Anyway, don't let it put you off, being a homeowner is fantastic! only thing is you may now find you don't have the spare time for Lasers, since you'll be painting / decorating / weeding / mowing / etc!

    All the best!

    Nige.

    Congratulations Andy.

I'm sure the life of lasers isn't over. You still have your existing ones and who knows what you can sneak in there when the missus isn't looking...
