Actually this method of mounting solves many issues and the board was designed to be fitted to the projetcors I build which all have thin panels. I have made it flexible by offering an internal version that uses the holes where the DB-s are screwed in to mount - exactly as Dimitri has done and it works just fine, there is even a jumper on the PCB to set the ilda interlock to work when in this configuration. Aside from this I will at some point soon be offering a mouning panel (actually 3 variants of...) allowing this board to be retro fitted into the panle work of any projector with just drilling four holes (to mount the panel) and cutting one big hole through which the board passes. the idea is that you can fit it neatly even if your mech skils are not up to scratch. The electrical design may develop but it will continue to be mounted this way as it makes more sense than not.

In fact if you look at the pcb you will see that 2 pairs of pins are joined by traces - these are the ones that should be used for the estop. until you get the green light on permanently you wont get any further as that is the whole point - it will keep the laser safe until the safety conditions are met

    Rob,

How would you recommend connecting multiple projectors to a single estop with these boards? I'm unsure if it is alright to put multiple connections paralleled on one estop or is there a better method?

    Cheers
