Looking forward to seeing pics. I'm in for 1, perhaps 2. Would be nice if TEC would be optional.

I'm good for a single or a dual depending on price.

I'll take a dual. Maybe two, once more details unfold.

    thanks!

Ok, I added a bunch of info to the first post! These things are small and pack a BIG punch. Note that the exterior will be black, and the top cover will fit all the way down and be bolted to the baseplate.

Wowee, that's a nice kit, Doc. However, it's about twice as expensive as I was hoping, so I'm going to have to bail on ordering one.

Looks really nice drlava. It is clear that you spent quite some nights developing this. Could you provide a little more data on the final specs? Especially interested in these for single diode unit:
    output beam profile at aperture,
    beam profile at 10m,
max output and corresponding diode current.
    Beam exit height above baseplate.
    thanks, Matthijs

CDBEAM, I have looked at anamorphic prisms, however they don't correct for the astigmatism in the diodes so you still don't get good imaging of the slow axis (poor divergence).

I expect they will be around $190 each. Definitely not more than $240.
That includes The base plate, 3 mounts, collimator lens, 2 broadband AR cylindrical lenses for correction, TEC, FlexDrive P3, diode mount, black anodizing, lasorb, and we're looking for a cover. They are hardware mostly, driver optional, you supply whatever diode you wish as the builder.
Very nice unit, shame they are working out at a little too much for me at the moment. I am going to have to re-think my options or save up some more

Is it possible to buy a dual without Lasorbs (since I've already got them)?
