    "21W (equivalent to 5,000 lumens), "

Not currently bright enough for outdoor building projections in terms
of raster TV type images ...but it is just the start

Certainly Uver cool for beams though

I beleive you need at least circa 30-40k lumens for decent bright building projections ..but stand to be corrected

My original question was not about existing technology, but more about the future of laser show projectors.

My thoughts were this: How long until we stop harvesting laser components from DLP projectors, and just start using the laser DLP projectors. Seems to me like that technology is not far into the future.

Since the Sony is a 21W RGB laser projector, why couldn't it (or future DLP laser projectors) be used in the same ways we use today's laser show projectors? Projecting coherent light is the bottom line... I would think something like the Sony would do outstanding graphics and beams.
