    Hey Buffo,

    You have a great point

We didn't get a chance to tune them identical so I retract last comment. We were more interested in the differences in color of the 650 and the 635 side by side at the time.

The 650 was on the left at the 635 on the right. the 650 was blood red but shows pink on the camera for some reason. The Scanpro30 is on the left the DT40 on the right parallel to each other.

Again though this was not tuned identical so it is most likely way off.

I am very happy with my Scanpro30's though.

Disclaimer. I was in a restricted area of the venue for both patrons and employees. I took video with permission and acknowledgment of laser contact.

(The DT-40 pro's were good for around 11.5 degrees)
You sure these weren't the older DT-40's? The current DT-40Pro's are capable of 30K at 15 degrees.

Also, I don't think you can't really compare the DT-40Pro's to the ScanPro 50's. When the DT-50's are finally released, then you can make a fair comparison.

In my opinion, the DT scanners are superior and worth the extra money. It's also nice to know there's a local U.S. distributor.

I will let the following draw their own conclusions...

I had purchased approx. (if my memory serves me correctly) about 5-6 sets of scan pro 30 and scan pro 40 systems prior to becoming the DT dealer here in the U.S.

When the scanpro systems work, they work well. However of the sets that were purchased above, i had 2 bad sets. Now before panties get in a bunch here and world war 3 begins, i am simply stating that 2 sets "mysteriously" did not perform properly.

both sets were installed with different customers equipment and both sets seemed to have almost the identical problem. the first set was replaced by the manufacturer (after approx 4 weeks) and the second set began to become too much of a frustrating hassle with the dealer/manufacturer for repair/replacement. so i just said screw it and didnt want to deal with it anymore. i replaced the set (this is *before,* well before becoming a dealer for DT by the way) with a DT40 set.

Approx. 30-40 sets later of either using DT myself or selling DT scanners, i have not had a SINGLE defective set and have not had a single problem with a set. Actually, maybe 1 or 2 "issues" that turned out to be user fixable as simple wiring/heat sinking tweaks.

i *AM NOT* saying that the scan pro systems are bad. Actually, ironically, the very first set i ever purchased is still in use in a nightclub from about 4 years ago. and those get beat to hell! i am just giving my own personal experience with them and i was not very impressed.

Like i said previously, when they work they seem to work well.

    Dave-

#1- I only purchased Scanpro systems from you (as far as i know). i never purchased any other systems. I didnt even know you sold other scanner systems.

#2- I never once mentioned your companies name. There are other places (i believe, i may be wrong on this) that one can purchase Scan Pro Systems from. I specifically made it my point *NOT* to single you out.

#3- I would remind you to go back through MANY countless times you have purposely tried to "stick" me out in threads here. MANY times. In fact, enough times and rudely enough where *other* members actually messaged me to tell me to look what you wrote. Whether you do it to be funnny, to look superior, to dumb me down, to gain an upper hand, to try and belittle me, to prove something, i have NO idea. But it was noticed and commented on numerous times.

#4- i gave a personal opinion based on my personal experiences. Nothing more, nothing less. I didnt "badmouth" you, your company, nor the manufacturer. I gave personal experiences. When credit was due, i gave credit.

And for the record, I have also refered customers to purchasing the ScanPro systems even *after* giving my own experiences. I give everyone of my customers and/or people who ask, my honest opinions and if my product doesnt meet their needs or budget i refer them to something/someone who may better suit their needs. I think *ANY* member here who has done business with me could vouch for that statement.

this post was not to "stick the boot in." it was to give information just the same that everyone else here gave their own personal experiences either for or against.

If you want to turn this into a pissing match or a soap opera, i will do it via PM or email. I will not add to the drama fest that has been occuring here lately.

    *edit*

I noticed what you meant about "the other scanners we sell". I did not notice (like others here who made the same mistake) the "scanlsp" scanners. My mistake for that and my apologies.

LOL, thanks for the apology buddy!

For the record, I try not to turn threads in to 'pissing matches' or 'soap operas' Enough of that goes on around here already without my input

    Thanks for the tips guys.

A few more questions. What is the diff between scanpro and scanco?

As I am in Australia, what is the best source to obtain Scanpros or DT's?

    Cheers,

    Wayne.

    Hey Wayne,

There are a few differences between the DT's and Scanpros. TBH, I think the DT's have a better build quality. They are a bit more expensive tho.. The scanpros have a modified version of the CT power limiter, whilst the DT's have no form of power limiting apart from a fuse and polyswitch to protect against coil over current..

We sell both in Australia BTW..
