    Default CNI baby OEM modules

A quick test, pretty rough and quick, but hopefully it shows what it needs to.. I would go further, but time is a bit limited atm. Maybe Andy would like to take my tests and go a bit further??

I just quickly ran a 150mw module up with a die4drive, a flexmod would work just as well ( the standard CNI driver is TTL only)..

The module - 12mm by about 30mm and round.. A quick little mount I fashioned. This should make fitting a TEC nice and easy..

The test setup ( very messy, very rushed!!! )

And the result under analogue mod.. Very pleasing.. Bit unsteady with the camera, but no artifacts like jellybeaning

Gotta say, this has me excited to make up a tiny little RGB for myself for programming duties and what not..

    Impressive!

Having a green in a nice, Aixiz-style bite sized chunk means there will be some ultra-compact RGV's on the horizon pretty soon

Any idea on the pricing of these? Given just the head, no driver or additional bits required. I'd be interested in a 50-100mW unit.

Nothing further than a quick reading to confirm power. Very confident that with proper cooling it will be perfectly stable just like the bigger oem modules.

mines nearly finished here's the rgv side of it http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...alm-of-my-hand just need to replace its green with a decent cni green
    it should be 180mm x 180mm x 90mm
but will proberly end up at 200 x 200 x 90 because thats the size of my heatsink
i want to build it on and dont fancy paying a machine shop to mill off 20mm on each side

hey dave what temp do they need cooling to ???

The data sheet doesn't seem to be too specific on Temperature. The bigger OEM modules require temp at 22.5+/-2.5 degrees, so i guess this will be similar.. All my quick tests were without any TEC, and it seemed pretty stable.. More tests to do
