I'm really enjoying the interesting coincidence of the current excitement and turmoil over the introduction of cheap visible Class 4 lasers on the 50th anniversary year of the first laser. The first couple of shots were visible Class 4!
And then there's things like optical tweezers where they're using beams of light to move things around. Amazing! The things they can move are getting bigger. So what's the difference between that and a "tractor beam"? "The future's so bright I gotta' wear shades!"
