    Default 2.5 watt RGB Beam pictures 1.2 watt of blue

    Stayed up pretty much all last night to get this finished. Finally managed to get some 30k's in here with some slightly bigger mirrors to fit the fat beam red as well

    800mw CNI green
    1.2 watt of 445nm blue
    500mw 635nm lasever red

    It is running all TTL, no analog

    What I like the most about this is if my blue diode dies, I dont have to wait 30 days to get it back. I dont even have to tear apart the whole projector. I can just pull the module out, slip another in and adjust the MM1's a little bit.

    VERY Nice george! overall, 445 look better than 473?

    hows the beams on the 445 before corrective optics? are the beams workable?

    I got (1) ~4W of 445 on the way (1) ~2W and some single ~900W on the way.

    I hated the 445nm color as a straight beam, i thought it looked too close to UV, but scanned I think it looks much better than 473m. Weird I know, plus I know everyones eyes reacts differently. I know for sure than I will never be going back to 473nm.

    Honestly about the beam, I bought many different lens but the one I found to work the best came with my big dipper red 100mw diodes. I had a few dead ones laying around so I swapped the diode. Below are my results of using simple lens options. Of course I care about beam shows so I found the lens that suited my purpose the best.

    Tried this as a crap shoot, Kevin with Junktronics offered to refund me immediately before he even shipped it since he was unsure it would work for me but I will be using it with a red

    yes, some diodes perform above others. This one gets no warmer than the one I can only get around 800mw. There is no TEC cooling on any of my 445nm's currently since they run near room temp when bolted to my projector case.

    You should try this one if you haven't already.. I've gotten the very best beam with them. Right now I've achieved 1.6 mrad on the fast axis by .18 mrad on the slow axis.. really I see no need to do better than that myself.

    That's the same lens I have on the maxy module running the 445nm diode. I agree it does perform a lot better than the other lenses I've tried. Thanks for the link, been looking around for more of these!

    Marc, I will take (4) 900W diodes so I can have 3600watts of power, please send me the safety goggles wicked includes with his 1 watt pointer so I can be safe

    I agree, with a static beam my room glowed purple like black-light., but when scanned in smoke its very nice blue.
    Probably something to do with forward scattering effect.

    I think you got lucky or the QC sucks, I have 3 of those and each looks different and none all that good imo.

    EDIT: however the owner (I assume from some other details he gave me) did call me while on vacation in response to my concern over a $10 lens to be sure his person back at the shop took care of it. So there service is TOP Notch.
