Default Tested with anamorphic prism pair

Francesco was so kind to loan me a prism pair to test with the 445nm diode.

Normal the the beam is a very clean <1mm beam with a divergence of 2,6-3 mRad (slight out of focus divergence gets a little bit better but not the beam)

With the prism pair I could easily get 1,2mRad, with good alignment 1 mrad should be possible.

It still is a little bit of a line because the slow axis is 0,2mrad.

at 30 meters I ended up with a 40x8mm beam

More than reasonable for beamshow, and even usable for graphics as most DPSS lasers will have a fatter beam at that distance.

Good news! Could you already do some measurements of the additional losses though the prisms? They have a MgF2 coating so it should be ok...
Next time I use my RGB lasers I will measure the divergence of my "RGB Lasersystems" 445nm blue. I think it is quite similar.

First results show 15% loss over both prisms, for prisms I think thats pretty good.

Tomorrow I will do some more accurate measurements.

    Picture time!!!

I also compared it to a Viasho 600mW 532nm. the beam of the blue is much thighter than the green, so a prism pair with this lens is a perfect setup

Its near to 1mRad and give a oval beam.

Is there any interest in this setup? that means a high quality collimator with 445nm AR coating and a prism pair.

Optional I can also supply a collimator mount, diode driver and tec driver + tec.

I certainly will be interested in a price and where to get them from (prism pair, collimator and collimator mount) - it's the last bits on my list that I need to get before I start my build.

    Any info GREATLY appreciated

    thanks
