    Default Fan for Argon laser

Posted this on laserpointerforums.com, thought I had nothing to lose and posted here as well.

So I bought an argon and it's arriving soon, but it won't come with a fan. I asked many companies in Greece about the price range of their centrifugal fans, but they were like 100 euros minimum. I need to know if someone here knows off a good source or has a spare fan to sell me for under $100. The fan will be mounted on a cylindrical argon laser. Since I know nothing about these fans, I cannot search for the right ones on ebay. Hope I get something soon.

100 Euros isnt a bad price. The last one I purchased was £65 and that was 12 years ago. Postage will also be quite high as there is a fair bit of weight involved.

I already spent a lot on the laser. Can't afford an expensive fan now.

It becomes even more expensive if you use the wrong fan.

Ask me how I know this.

Maybe check ebay, you might get lucky.

This should do the trick, but its 200V operation.Maybe you can get a suitable transformer?

This might also do it, but is 115V And another, another

In Greece we use 220 V mains. Do I need to do any transformations?
It's a JDS Uniphase cylindrical laser btw.

Ahh, you probably dont need anything as big as what I linked to.

For some reason I was thinking of a 1 watt laser. Oops.

I have a 12VDC fan from a now-dead cylindrical JDSU argon head that I'd be happy to sell you. PM me if you're interested.
