    i have a spectra physics 168-35 5Watt whitelight
but these were taken out of a club and the cables where cut

That is a 208V volt, 3 Phase power input.
In much of Europe that needs a Trafo to step 380V three phase to 208-220V three phase. Green is earth ground, the other three colors are the phases, no neutral needed.

It is really only worth anything if its working.

laser winkle...did you hook water up to test for leaks? thats first, no leaks then proceed to power up. supply 208vac 3hree phase at 50 amp capabilities, turn on breaker, push start button if it lights it could work, if it dosnt light then we can try to sort it out...

    until then...nothing can be determined

Seems your biggest problem is finding a matching plug for the power cable leading up to the laser head.

Do you have both ends of the cable? If so, it might be possible to re-solder or crimp the contacts on the existing plug.

If you're able to bring this one to the Lighttown LEM in December, I have a friend who lives in Eindhoven and he has a Spectra 168 Whitelight as well, if he attends the LEM you might be able to test the PSU and head with the combined gear.

Yes, that is the traffo. That is a biophsyic medical traffo for ion lasers. It must be wired very carefully as it is a autotransformer.

Speaking of safety, this is not regarded as a beginners laser.

You must be very careful with this.
