    Looks like they at least stepped up to add safety features to it. I don't think Wicked has any such.

    Hmmm... The wording's a bit ambiguous

    "World's most compact <1W 445nm handheld laser!"

    That pretty much give it a lot of latitude, saying (<) less than one watt.

    well I would figure its a "1W" diode, then lens losses etc...

    but I would be willing to bet money its the same Casio projector diodes...

    I am actually tempted to pick one of those up, at least they pretend to care by adding interlocks and such... maybe the driver has a current adjust, could turn it down to a more reasonable output

    /edit: seems to be gone?

    yes the local BestBuys are now all out of these units, i have checked thier website and no stores in the US show stock now, only thru mail it's available ........ i bet this week somthing will happen

    They have them in stock here in Florida as of yesterday when I called.
