    UPDATE!

The boards should be in on Monday. Now I'm just waiting for the connectors from China and the LD sockets from Japan.

    Anyone else interested?

What's the max. current those little connectors can take?
    - There is no such word as "can't" -
    - 60% of the time it works every time -

I'll short one to failure for a test when I get the sockets. I made sure the traces are nice and thick/wide to handle plenty of current. I imagine the weak point will be one of the traces but my guess would be around 3 amps.

OH! Look what UPS dropped off.....

Don't get too excited just yet. I'm still waiting for the sockets to come in from Japan. I built this one just to test fit everything using the ThorLabs sockets. I must say they look sexy and work great. You can fling the board around really hard by the diode with the lead wire attached and it just will not come out.

    More pics later....

hahaha I just got a great visual image of you in your shop trying to "fling" a diode out of the socket...damn, where is the video camera when you need it... Novel great product!
