I use XP and Vista. I don't know about Windows 7 or what will work with it.

I have Winamp 5.5 if you need it. Send me a PM if you do.

    Hi Phredy1

I would grateful if you could send me Winamp 5.5 Pro. I have no Winamp installed at the moment because of the number of reports of various versions of Winamp crashing and not knowing which version works OK with Live Pro.

See if you can look at Winamp's priority setting in the winamp properties; there is one that you can set that might cause issues. I will have to look it up at home.

    any ideas?

Laser output is kind of jumpy when winamp is in Play mode (which is needed for beat detection plug-in). Once stopped everything is fine. That's under Windows7.

    Thanks
It's a known windows 7 issue, and there is a fix/workarround for it.

just contact bill and we will get it sorted

Thanks guys for all the tips.

It must be something with W7 because all same versions of Winamp work great under XP so I just need to take my old laptop with me today - I set it few times already and I'll say it again - someone please...creat some laser-soft for Apple!

You could try setting processor affinity to say core 1 for Winamp and core 2 for Pango.

No, this will not help in Windows 7

As I said earlier in this post its a known W7 issue, you should contact bill for a fix...

Windows 7 controls all the stream prioritys, winamp is a multimeadia stream and gets a higher priority causing livepro to stutter.

You could also contact bill for a fix, or if you want to get it sorted quickly you could also contact Bill for a solution...

Bill will forward you to a person who will have a working solution for you in minutes.

Yeah, LivePro works fine for me using a VM running XP. In fact, it runs much better than on my dedicated Windows computer! But it would be nice to have it running natively in OSX. It would look and feel so much nicer.
