Bob, a 1800 line per inch grating, A MM2 to hold the grating, a stable power supply and a 405 nm diode will easily get you SF operation. A TEC cooler will help, but is not needed.

According to wler's research, your pretty much limited to <20mw with the blu-ray diodes in an ecdl configuration.
