    Default Diode mounting block group buy.

    Another group buy, but this one intended to be modular to suit most TEC applications, and especially suited to combining diodes. They address the shortfalls of the press fit style diode holders, and have integral M3 mounting holes drilled and tapped in the base.

    Feature screw on retainer to lock the diode in place, and also a screw on base plate.. The base plate can be orientated with either the mounting slots at front/back, or left/right

    Threaded m9, 0.5 to suit aixiz, or any of the other lenses that utilize that thread type.

    Price per set of 3 brass parts will be $25USD for singles, and $20USD ea for 5 or more I have 100 coming at this stage..

    Beam height is 15mm without the bottom mounting plate, or 19mm with the mounting plate.

    Default Material choice?

    This is great - I was just working on a design almost identical. However, brass is very poor for thermal conductivity. Have you considered making them out of aluminum? It has about 2.5X the thermal conductivity and is still easy to machine. Cheaper, too.

    Brass still has a OK thermal conductivity, and its really not a issue with a tec sitting right underneath it.

    The reason as to why I chose brass is it has lower heat expansion properties than aluminium, so the collimator lens should in theory remain more stable...

    The delta-T between the laser die and the bottom of the mount may be surprising. 6W is a good bit of power, and there are four thermal interfaces in there too (die to can, can to mount, mount to base, base to TEC).

    What is the center-to-center spacing of the lasers when stacked side by side?

    If I understand correctly, you run the TEC a little harder to compensate.

    What is the center-to-center spacing of the lasers when stacked side by side?

    All the profesional companies use brass mounts to hold their diodes so i would definitively go for brass.
