whats the focal length of the used.

With a small Fl there is no real need for a telescope with a quad.

well for this setup there is.

at apeture each beam measure 3mm wide by 5mm high.

so in my setup, with all 4 beams together they measure 6mm wide by 10mm high. this would not fit on the scanner mirrors, so its pointless. buying these telescopic lens from edmund is cheaper than 4 lens27 for example.

adding the telescopics means i get all the beam on the scanner mirrors easily and i get a good mR.

    looks good andy!

I have designed a new mount for kniveedging. I managed to stack two beam of open cans and i,m now up for the new challenge combining 4. I dont like my mirrors and i,m going to test some new lenses in the near future but hopefully i have a working quad in a month.

yeah i saw your mounts, not cheap.

i plan to do a 6 diode version of this running each diode at 200mw.

if you have access to and can afford lens27 or similar then the beam will be pretty much identical to this one.

The problem is to get it cheaper i need to order them in 100 pieces. If you,re willing to order 25 i,m going to try to find some other that want to buy them

Hopefully with new mirrors i get better results. I have a lot of scattering around the dot.

If you putt the setup in the trunk at the back of your car and take the grevelroad for 100 miles and if everything is perfectly in line i,m interested in your mounts

subject to being done up correctly they are perfectly stable

i should also add that i use these mounts in all my projectors and dont have any issues.

Mmm you probably right but i,m not 100% convinced. I like the tension method of the material used in the brass mounts to set the mount. Stability is a mayor issue when someone buys a module. It wouldn,t be the first time that the post drops the package and you have 4 beams instead of one.

totally agree, but even the most stable mirror mounts in the world at some point in life will need a little tweaking

if you are not going to tweak might as well buy a ready made module...tweaking the laser is fun
