Seen those and yes they are quick altho the deflection range is rather small
still , very cool...
I have one the only scans about 2degrees..been playing with.
It came with some gear I bought, not sure of its intended use tho.

The deflection angle is 7 degrees for these news piezo, corresponding to the minimum deflection angle we use with galvos system (this is also the angle at which the galvos are rated for their max speed).
The funniest I found is that the system use only one mirror
But I wonder how better is the speed in kpps comparing to a standard galvo system...
Arc and I looked into these, PI from Germany is the ones making the units, it's
actually 3* deflection with is 6* optical...
The resonant frequency on piezoscanners are 15kHz (which compares
very favorably to say CT68k's which have a resonant frequency of 3-4kHz)
Unfortunately the 6* scanners aren't as fast, but they're faster than anything
we would usually use for laser shows.
Now the downside... COST... You're looking at $8k for the scanner and $5k for
the driver amp... These are raw and not mounted in anything useful... The evaluation boards cost about $15k, but come more ready to use...
Would be nice to run through some optics like the pangolin dazzler/discoscan
gear.
