    Default Fast dissapating fog

Hey guys, I know there are some fog gurus around... I need to make some fog that will dissapate quickly. Similar to the cold steam from the ultrasonic atomizers. If I take regular fog juice and cut it with distilled water, will that help it dissapate faster?

I am needing this for my fog screen project. I need a continuous flow of fog, but I don't want it to hang around too long, or the room will fill up and kill the effect. I would use the ultrasonic foggers, but I don't want to pay the price for them, and I don't want to deal with all that water. Those things make a mess of water everywhere!

Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

The fluid that goes into low foggers (the ones that chill the output from a standard fogger) is designed to be fast dissapating, so that when the low fog warms up it doesn't rise and fog up the air too much.
Most pro fluid manufacturers have a 'studio' version of their fluids that are designed to vanish fairly quick.
I think that their composition is a bit more complex than just adding distilled water to the mix, as the fog produced is quite thick and fluffy until it begins to disapate.
    Some examples:

The fluid you want is this:

It dissapates VERY quickly and would be perfect for your application.

Couple it with a new ZR44 or roadie line of smoke machines and you're onto a winner

    Default TY!

Thanks for the replies! I will look into this. I am using a Cheauvet 10K CFM fogger. I am trying to build this on a beer budget. Fluid, I will pay for, but a spendy fogger, that might have to wait .

The only test I need to run now is seeing how greasy the residue might be. If there is little to none, I am not goign to worry about it. If there is a lot... I might need to come up with something else.

    Thanks again guys!

Adding water to your fog juice will make it fast dissipating, yes, but it also means less overall fog output.
