Default 445 saves the day! (Pics of my first show)

As luck goes, the green started acting up a couple days before my first scheduled show, so this one was strictly red at 640nm and a lot of 445nm blue. I turned it up to 1.2 amps of input in order to compensate a bit for the lack of brightness.

Long story short, the 445 was beautiful once I got the fog blowing in the right direction

One strange but notable phenomena, several young ladies came over and struck up conversations throughout the night and one girl even flagged me down on my way out to give me her number If that's one of the perks, I think I'll start working on my second projector right away!

Oh, and I got another job offer for a show in a couple weeks at one of the bigger local night clubs I'll have to go scope it out in the next couple of days though for vertical clearance and reflective stuff...

I keep telling people, wait for the green

Is that outdoors? If so it does an ok job I think.
I've got an outdoor lighting job at the weekend and wasn't going to take my 1.5W RGB's but I might now after seeing those pics

Yeah I was pretty skeptical about how it would turn out, but a buddy who was putting on this show talked me into it I did turn the scan rate way down to get a bit more brightness, but kept it pretty wide.

The fog was really necessary though, but my little 700w Radio Shack fog machine with a box fan in front of it surprisingly worked pretty good as the area was surrounded by trees which was not only nice for terminating the beams, but kept the fog in fairly well.

On one side was a small river which just filled up with fog. It was a neat effect, people walking in had to cross a little bridge over the fog and just as your getting to the other side of the bridge you can start to see the laser around the corner.

The 640 I'm using is around 400mw. It contributed nicely to the effects, but didn't carry as far or illuminate the air in liquid sky type effects anywhere near as nicely as the 445.

One nice thing about blue is that it's short wavelength causes the light to be reflected slightly from the air molecules themselves, and many airborne particles can fluoresce. This adds up to a fairly visible beam even in adverse conditions.

I believe it! I had three blocks in my possession, but I only fired them up for a few seconds to see that they worked and that was it.. I should have checked that out before I pulled them apart.
