    Default Epoxy

Megaton-thx for the info on epoxy.

I was thinking of applying the epoxy, then adhering crushed glass to disc and leting it dry. Do you think the light will still be able to shine through? I was also thinking of applying broken chunks of glass on another one and crystals on another......advice?

    HI
I think experimenting is part of the fun.
With epoxy alone I get very good results, I made lots, small grooves, deep grooves and all has done very good and different lumina F/Xs.
With broken glass different and dangerous effects. (more focus and scattered).
Make lots and see what happen.
    Have fun.
    Cheers,
    Eduardo

    Default Lumia "Machine"??

Can someone show me pics of a maching that you attach lumia to? I need the whole thing...machine or projector, attachments and measurements, if you have them.

    Thank you!

Here's a couple examples of lumia wheels:

As far as the enclosure, it could be anything from a custom-machined case with all kinds of bells and whistles to a project box from Radio Shack..

    Cool lumina projector

    @ laserchik
This a real good example of what they are about and how to construct one.

I would think clear resin would be perfect for this. Dried perfectly clear, and it does NOT dry flat, it actually creates it's own surface waves due to surface tension or something like that. Definitely worth experimenting with.

I agree....I am thinking the more "knobby" the better as far as effect. My old eye glasses have prisms in them. Would it be better to leave the lens as is, or crush it into powder and sprinkle it onto the epoxy on the glass/plastic? I am thinking crushed or in powder form, it may give a coller effect. Experts?

    Default Motor Function

I built the small motor for my lumia attachment for my laser pointer, but the motor moves too fast. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong? Do I need to peel back the power somehow or obtain a smaller motor?
