    From the original post:
    Set-up distance between lenses: 20mm

[QUOTE=drlava;155767]The aixiz 405-445 lenses have at least 25% losses, 22% losses over a shorter focal length lens. For maximum power I suggest a shorter focal length lens 4-5mm FL.

Please post this on LPF, as many don't get that point. OK, maybe it's the nature of the beast.

I would like some good short FL lenses, but I am not sure where to get them.
I was looking at lens27, but was told it had a horrible beam shape.

Anyone using a short FL lens on the 445 diode that has a good output?

I don't think it's so much as a horrible beamshape, more a case of seeing more of the stripe.

The longer FL small aperture lenses clip off the outer part of the beam allowing the central part through, hence the losses but nicer looking uncorrected beam.

A short FL, wide aperture lens + correction optics (cylinder lens or prisms) is the better option.

Oh, well damn. I don't care about the stripe, because as you said, I intend to use correction. I want the small diameter beam to knife edge them closer together, then a beam expander to get the good divergence.
uhh, sorry if this is off topic. edit: I forgot, someone mentioned Lens27 is coated for red..

I'm going on a trip here before classes start back up. Is there an estimated time of delivery on these?

    Just a thought....
Are the guys in RED on the First Round holding up the Order..

If so... why not replace them with paid members from the second
round that have paid to be able to place the 1st round order...

If I'm wrong about the ordering.... NVM...

I would also like to know the ETA of these lenses (if possible)...
