    Default DZ colour correction boards

I have a very limited supply of the original DZ colour board which are available on my website (here http://shop.stanwaxlaser.co.uk/dz-co...oard-252-p.asp) for £45 each inc uk post. European customers add £4 customers outside Europe PM me or email me for shipping quote.
These few are a stop gap until my revised 4 channel version is ready which will not be for several weeks as I am still at the laying out stage.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

    Hi,

Sounds interesting. What is it's output impedance ? And input ?
I guess it's buffering the color signal actively ...

input impedance will be in the 100k region, it does a lot more than buffer the signal it slows down the rising and falling edges of the modulation signals so that in an RGB with a mixture of dpss and diode the rise and fall times can be matched to remove the anoying coloured tails at the begining and end of a scanned segment. Also there is offset control to allow you to match the lasers 'threshold' and gain to restore any loss in the signal from the delay circuit.
Many of these boards are in use I just have the tail end of the stock - full details are here http://www.dzelaser.com/color_correction_circuit.htm

Nice work, Rob! Glad to see these are available again. Regarding the content on my website, you are welcome to grab whatever you need and host it on your website. I'm probably going to take the website down soon, so it isn't going to be available there much longer.

I guess it's buffering the color signal actively ...
Absolutely. In fact, I haven't tried this with a finished color board, only with the prototype, but I was able to attach 110VAC to the input of any color channel and the output was limited to 5V. So it has a bit of protection built in as well. Which just adds to the value of it's features; active buffer, rising edge AND falling edge control, offset and gain control. Regarding output impedance, the color board is designed to have a 100 ohm resistor between the output stage of a tl084 and your laser. Most lasers are perfectly happy with this, however, if you have a laser with a very low input impedance, the 100 ohm resistor can be shorted or replaced with one of a lower value.
