I'm certainly glad you had a good time, but why all the "redacteds"?
Oh wait, that's because you can't talk about it..
If you can't talk about it, why post about it? It's really no fun to read about it..
I think there should be a rule on all public forums as follows:
"Since public forums are intended to facilitate the public sharing of information and ideas, if you can't share information and ideas because of your feelings about whether or not your fellow laserists/hobbyists can be trusted with it, then don't post about it at all."
Sorry, in a way this all goes back to the whole "sensitive information" idea. Posts that contain all kinds of "sensitive and secretive" cloak and dagger crap have no place on a public forum..
Plus it's a tease for the readers.. that's my main issue with it.. I wanna know who and where you're talking about dammit!!!!! It's eating away at my soul like a swarm of parasites..
Again, I'm glad you had a good time though..

It might be a public personal "thank you" to some one. I'll sign an NDA to see some pics.
Well, in that case allow me to personally thank {redacted} and {redacted} also. They should receive our public appreciation for something they apparently did someplace. Why else would there be a public thank you thread for them?
OK, ................Zap!

Ahhh, blissfully ignorant once again...
Sorry to be a pain, Steve, but I'm on a bit of a personal campaign against the idea of posts in public forums containing allusions to "secret" activities, ideas or information that is not to be disclosed due to distrust or previous agreement. The only reasons for posting such things in public are to show off status to others (I know stuff you don't, nah nah na nah nah) or to display a distrust of the fellow members of the community you are a part of, neither of which is a positive influence on the community or the forum.. IMO..
A far better option is to withhold all indications that the sensitive information you're seeking to protect even exists. That way, everyone wins. You are abiding by your NDA, and we, the public, are no wiser for it.
Thanks for the info Steve, I am all giddy about it

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt & selling it in a garage sale.
I believe the word "giddy" should be stricken from all public forums as well.. at least when used by grown men.
